M&M working on export variants of 'Arjun Novo' tractor

Mahindra and Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) unit is working on new variants of the recently launched tractor 'Arjun Novo' for export purpose, a senior official of the diversified business house said today.
Ravindra Shahane, Head, Marketing, Tractor & Farm Mechanisation at M&M, also said the growth in tractor sales during the current financial year will be in the range of 5-7 per cent due to various factors such as delayed monsoons.
"Novo is not currently being exported. But we have a platform, where we can design products for exports. It will happen in due course. At this point of time, we are preparing new variants for exports on the Novo platform," he said at a press conference here.

Launching 'Arjun Novo' in Telangana, he said demand for heavy duty tractors in the 48 HP plus segment continues to grow as farmers want more power and greater flexibility.
He said the FES division sold 2.5 lakh tractors last year, including exports.
