The tribunal's Presiding Officer Mohinder Virat passed the directions after noting that despite several assurances given by the investigating officer, SHO and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) over two years, the DAR (detailed accident report) has not been filed.
"Today, Investigating Officer (Sub Inspector Rakesh Yadav), Police Station Vasant Vihar is absent. Record of the file reveals that on the last date of hearing, the aforesaid IO had assured this tribunal that DAR shall be filed by the him on the next date of hearing.
"Hence, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) is directed to appear in person on the next date of hearing," the court said and posted the matter for further hearing on October 4.
