BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav today rejected the allegations made against one BJP minister of transporting a large currency of demonitised note in his official vehicle, saying that the charges are "baseless" and "false."
"There is no truth in these allegations. I request you (media) to think over it when you give importance to such allegations," he told reporters here today.
"I had held a full enquiry into this and talked to all the concerned and our party people. They all have said that these are baseless allegations," the party incharge of the State added.
Madhav also ruled out any reshuffle in the state cabinet.
"I don't know about PDP. As far as BJP is concerned, there is no reshuffle on the cards," he said.
Speaking on the logjam in the Parliament, he accused the opposition of being not able to muster the courage to discuss the issue.
"They(opposition)are disrupting the House as they don't have the courage to discuss it(demonitisation). Entire country is with the Prime Minister on demonetisation but they want to find an excuse for not allowing the House to function," he said.
Hailing demonitisation as an "historic step", Madhav said the ATMs as well as banks in the country are functioning "normal" and if glitches occur they will be rectified.
When asked about the purpose of his visit to Jammu, he urged the media to refrain from making assumptions as he usually visits the state in 2-3 months to review party affairs.
