Maha: 3 auto-rickshaws damaged during 'Kolhapur Bandh'

Three auto-rickshaws were today damaged during the 'Kolhapur Bandh' called by a local outfit in favour of their demand to increase the area under jurisdiction of city's municipal corporation, police said.
The bandh was called by mayor Ashwini Ramane and an Action Committee, demanding increase in the area under the jurisdiction of the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation.
"Three auto-rickshaws were damaged and stones were pelted on some state transport buses," a senior police official said.
Meanwhile, schools and colleges remained shut, police said.
