Village groups in 99 tehsils of 28 districts in Maharashtra will be selected for implementation of the Mission, an official said, after the cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The Mission will deal with issues like agricultural development, skill development, agro processing, storage and mobile health units, liquid waste management.
In a relief to resident doctors from public hospitals who often go on strike demanding better remuneration, the cabinet approved a raise of Rs 5000 per month in their stipend.
The government has also decided to implement the Decentralized Procurement Scheme for paddy from the 2016-17 rabi and kharif season.
