Maha: Former MLA Harishchandra Patil passes away

Former Maharashtra MLA Harishchandra Patil passed away today, family members said.
62-year-old Patil, died of cardiac arrest at his residence this morning and is survived by his wife and two sons, they said.
He was MLA from 1995-2000 in the Maharashtra Assembly.
Patil was the Leader of Opposition in Kalyan Dombivili Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and was also mayor of the twin cities.
His funeral, which was held this afternoon, was attended by Kalyan-Dombivili mayor Rajendra Devlekar, KDMC Commissioner E Ravinderan, MP Srikant Shinde and others.
A condolence meeting will be held on May 4.
