A clash between two groups of workers Monday led to the burning down of a godown storing plastic material in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said.
The incident happened Monday morning in Rahanal village in Bhiwandi township here and four fire engines had to be deployed to douse the flames, Datta Salvi, Chief Fire Officer, Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation, said.
He said no one was injured in the incident but the godown was reduced to ashes.
Police said the fire was the result of a fight between two groups of people working in the godown.
"We are in the process of registering an offence and further probe is underway," said Senior Inspector S D Jadhav of Narpoli police station.
