"A high-level delegation of ministers from Maharashtra approached the Centre to seek drought mitigation funds, without taking support of union government's drought manual norms," Tawade said while addressing a press conference.
He further alleged that the top cabinet ministers also included their talukas in the drought list, which have not witnessed severe drought conditions.
"If you take a look at the drought list, over eight talukas have been added only because the Cabinet ministers wanted it to be," alleged the BJP leader.
Tawade further said that he would undertake a tour of the drought-hit areas from August 31.
"We will compile a detailed report on drought in various parts of the state and submit it to the Governor and CM over the drought-hit talukas and provision of relief measures in those areas," Tawade said.
