Maha govt to increase posts of judges in HC

Maharashtra Cabinet has given its nod to creation of new posts of judges in Bombay High Court, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said here today.
The number of posts, which is now 75, will go up to 94 following this decision, Fadnavis said in the state Assembly.
As a result, the number of related employees will also go up and 162 new posts will be created, he said.
The state government will incur an expenditure of Rs 16.88 crore on creation of all these new posts, Fadnavis said.
With this development, it is expected that there will be reduction in pendency of the court cases, he said.
