Maharashtra Government will soon launch an 'e-platform' to give speedy permissions required for setting up industries in the state.
The Chief Minister told this to a delegation of European Union (EU) that met him today at the Sahyadri guest house in south Mumbai.
"We have initiated steps to provide all facilities to the investors willing to set up industries in the state. It would be our endeavour to reduce the number of permissions. We will soon start an e-platform through which investors can get permissions in a quick way," Fadnavis said.
Our endeavour would be to ensure that the state remains numero uno under Centre's 'Make in India' intiative, he said.
Stating that Maharashtra had a number of opportunities in the infrastructure sector, Fadnavis urged the delegation to explore investment opportunities in Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) and Navi Mumbai International Airport project.
"Maharashtra is among the few states in the country to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to industries," he added.
Fadnavis said even though there was an issue of coal availability for power projects, the Centre has given approval for coal supply from nearby coal mines.
"In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, there was an opportunity for power generation from solid waste, for which EU companies can use their technical expertise. In cities like Mumbai, water recycling plants can also be set up," the Chief Minister said.
He told the delegation that adequate land was available in MIDC industrial units and priority would be given to FDI. "Land allotment would be done in ten days. MIDC would be the nodal agency for all investment related matters," he added.
