Maha legislature session off to noisy start

The Legislative Assembly was adjourned for an hour amid noisy scenes.

Shiv Sena and BJP MLAs shouted slogans and unfurled banners demanding a statement by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on key issues.

Earlier, the opposition members squatted on the stairs of the Vidhan Bhawan's main entrance, seeking action on many issues like Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, female foeticide and farmers' suicides.
