District Collectors of Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat and Betul in Madhya Pradesh, accompanied by respective superintendents of police, attended the meeting here held by Nagpur District Collector and Returning Officer, Abhishek Krishna.
The meeting decided to enhance vigil on the border check posts on illegal smuggling of liquor and movement of criminals and unaccounted cash, an official said.
A motor vehicle inspector and a flying squad will be deployed at each of the check post, the meeting was informed.
Deputy Returning Officer Ajay Ramteke made a presentation of preparations.
Pandhurna, Saunsar, Balaghat and Chhindwara are the border check posts falling in Madhya Pradesh.
There are about 16 polling centres on the bordering villages in Saoner Assembly constituency, 13 in Ramtek and 12 in Katol constituencies, the official said.
