Maha sport policy to be decalared by July: Pawar

Pawar said the sports, youth and Industrial policy will be declared by July before the start of the monsoon session.

He was responding to queries from the Opposition regarding the delay in announcing the sports and youth policy.

Devendra Phadanvis (BJP) said he was part of the committee which formulated the sports and youth policy.

"Good work was done and we all congratulated the government on this initiative. Why is the delay happening," he asked.

Sambhaji Pawar (BJP) squatted in the well saying that the government was not adhering to the directives of the chair that the policy be announced before the end of the budget session.

Speaker Dilip Walse Patil assured the members that he would speak to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar to discuss the reasons for the delay.

"Directives given from this chair have to be followed," he said adding that he expected a revised reply from the government side.
