"To implement the Mission at state-level, it will have governing body and executive body under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary, respectively," Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said after the cabinet meeting here.
This will facilitate setting up of State Project Management Unit (SPMU) for smooth implementation of this scheme, he said.
"It will help in improving educational institutions capable of imparting quality AYUSH education and promoting quality standards of AYUSH drugs," he said.
The decision will help strengthen AYUSH systems making them as prominent as other medical streams in addressing the health issues, Fadnavis said.
"It will include Collector office, SP office, Zilla Parishad office, Auditorium and other necessary set up for the premises for 37 department and staff quarters," he said.
