A case was registered against a 23-year-old woman for allegedly abetting her husband's suicide in Maharashtra's Nagpur city, police said on Wednesday.
The Ajni police has registered a case against Senorita Singh for allegedly abetting the suicide of Nehal Pramod Singh (23), a resident of Agyaram Devi Chowk, an official said.
Nehal hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his rented accommodation in Bhagwan Nagar on February 20, he said.
During investigation, the police found that the couple had had heated arguments on WhatsApp before the deceased allegedly killed himself, the official said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the deceased's father, the police has booked Senorita Singh under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) of Indian Penal Code.
