The decision would be implemented from 2016-2017 and 2019-2020 sessions respectively, Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao said in his address to the state legislature, as the Budget Session got underway.
He said the implementation of the new centrally-sponsored scheme to vocationalise education to provide employment- oriented education to students studying in seventh standard is in the process.
These students would get better employment opportunities while learning, he said.
To reduce stress on students, the government has decided to ensure that question papers are distributed to them ten minutes prior to the commencement of the board examinations.
The establishment of a National Law University at Mumbai has been notified and a vice chancellor has been appointed.
The government has also decided to establish a National Law University at Aurangabad and Nagpur.
