Mahe to be declared open defecation free on Nov 11

The union territory of Puducherry would be declared Open Defaction Free (ODF) on October 2 next year, Lt Governor Kiran Bedi said here today.
Mahe, an enclave of Puducherry in Kerala, would be declared an Open Defecation Free region on November 11, while Yanam enclave in Andhra Pradesh would be declared ODF region on December 31, an official release said here today.
The union territory's Karaikal enclave in Tamil Nadu would be declared (ODF) on March 11 next year.
She said the slogan 'My Puducherry, Swachch Puducherry' should be the driving force to realise the goal of Swachch Bharat in the union territory.
