candidate from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha seat Loknath Mahto today alleged that BJP leader Yashwant Sinha deliberately opted out in favour of his son, Jayant, as he failed to keep his promises given to voters.
"The reason for Sinha leaving the field in favour of his son, Jayant, is nothing but his failure to fulfill promises he had made to the people of the constituency," Mahto alleged.
A three-time MLA from the BJP, Mahto quit the saffron party and joined the Ajsu party last year following alleged differences with Sinha, the sitting BJP MP.
Addressing a separate press conference, CPI's state unit secretary and party candidate from Hazaibagh, Bhubaneswar Prasad Mehta accused the BJP of pursuing 'politics of dynasty' by fielding Jayant Sinha.
