Bablu Paswan was arrested from Ramgarhwa police station of East Champaran district last night, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said.
According to police, Kedia, who owns a group of companies in Nepal besides running a medical college, hospital and other industries there, was kidnapped from the Himalayan country last week.
Soon after his abduction from Bada district in Nepal, the miscreants brought Kedia to India through Raxaul border, the SP said, adding the businessman was rescued from East Champaran, about 185 km northwest of Patna last Sunday.
The SP said Paswan is wanted in several criminal cases in Bihar as well as in Nepal. Some cases of drug peddling and trafficking of women are also registered against him, Rana added.
He said Bablu Dubey presently lodged in Buxar jail had planned kidnapping of Kedia.
