Malaysia's Hindu Sangam president R S Mohan Shan's reaction comes after he observed that some of young pilgrims danced in an indecent manner while carrying the kavadi ( a heavy wooden frame carried by devotees on their shoulders during festivals) during the tamil festival of Thaipusam, local newspaper 'Tamil Nesan' reported.
Such behaviour had created a poor impression of the culture and tradition of the community, he told reporters after attending an award ceremony for students' achievement held at a temple in Sitiawan on Sunday.
Multi ethnic Malaysia's population of 29 million includes nine percent ethnic Indians most of them Tamil Hindus.
