Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal would submit a report on functioning of Nirmal Chhaya Nari Niketan to Delhi Government tomorrow.
Maliwal will meet Delhi Women and Child Development Minister Sandeep Kumar at the Secretariat tomorrow.
"The DCW chairperson today again visited Nari Niketan to check the status and found nothing has been changed. Unhappy with that, Maliwal has decided to meet WCD Minister Sandeep Kumar," a DCW official said.
This was Maliwal's third visit to the home. She had earlier spent a night there and inspected the facilities and described her experience as a "living hell".
Some of the problems highlighted by Maliwal during her previous visits were that mentally-challenged were living with ordinary inmates and even sharing beds with them. There was lack of cleanliness and also toilets were less.
There was also a short-stay home inside the Nirmal Chhaya complex, condition of which was equally bad.
She also said that many women who have court orders and want to come out of the women shelter home were being forced to stay there due to lack of coordination between police and home authorities.
Maliwal has also written to Delhi Police seeking the release of 15 inmates.
