Mamata congratulates Indian cricket team for Test series win
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Monday congratulated the Indian cricket team for its maiden Test series win in Australia, calling the feat a historic achievement.
"Congratulations. Today, the Indian cricket team wins its first ever Test series in Australia. This is a historic achievement. We are proud of you," Banerjee said in her Twitter handle.
India won the four-match series 2-1 after the Sydney Test ended in a draw on Monday.
India achieved the feat after a wait of 71 years.
