"We are grateful to all our assembly staff for their contribution to regular functioning of the assembly, which is regarded as a pillar in the democracy. They also contributed a lot during the platinum jubilee celebration," Banerjee said.
The House has 682 staff members at present. A number of retired staff were also felicitated.
The chief minister handed over mementos to the staff members.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee, Leader of the Opposition Surjya Kanta Mishra, cabinet ministers and MLAs, among others, were present on the occasion.
The chief minister, her cabinet colleagues and the Speaker Biman Banerjee garlanded a portrait of former president and educationist Dr S Radhakrishnan on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
