CPI(M) state secretary Surjya Kanta Mishra today attacked Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, saying her only "principle is corruption".
"We don't like to hear sermons on principles from Mamata Banerjee. Her only principle is corruption," he told a poll rally here in East Midnapore district ahead of the sixth and final phase of Assembly election in the state on May 5.
"The Mamata Banerjee government which has charges of scams, bribery charges and corruption against it, has lost the way for which it was voted in by the people of the state," Mishra said adding "Nobody is now with her (Banerjee) and she is now absolutely alone."
Accusing the TMC government of unleashing a reign of terror in the state, Mishra alleged "She (Banerjee) is running a dictatorship in the state where people have no security."
TMC, he said, cannot be traced after the election result was out. "With the declaration of election result the TMC will be found breaking away like house of cards."
"Democracy in the state is at stake. She (Mamata) has driven away industry from the state and failed to provide even minimum security to people. Terror is pervading althrough in the entire state," Mishra said urging people to caste their votes for the CPI(M)-Congress alliance.
