"I will discuss the matter with other political parties and on Monday I will announce my programme. It is a constitutional breakdown and financial emergency in the country", the TMC supremo said.
"Let them arrest us. We will fight the battle on the street. I don't want any election politics now. I want to save the people", she said.
The TMC supremo who visited the RBI office here said that all (opposition) parties should work together to save the people who were passing through "immense hardship" due to the Centre's decision to scrap Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes.
She also spoke to the RBI regional director Rekha Warriar and urged her to ensure that cash is available at all ATMs and Banks.
The Chief Minister accused the Centre of making "discrimination" against the state by not circulating the new Rs 500 notes here.
"They have sent 500 rupees notes to Rajasthan. But they are not sending the 500 rupees notes to Bengal. The Central government has totally failed to act. Rural India is dying, they don't use card. What will they do? The whole of rural India is crying, farmers are crying. If food is not available what will the common people eat? Plastic?" Banerjee said.
Meanwhile, TMC Vice-President Mukul Roy said that the party would hit the streets on the demonetisation issue from November 23 when a procession would be taken out from College square to Dorina crossing in the metropolis.

Later, she paid a surprise visit to Burrabazar, the main commercial hub in the city and listened to the problems faced by businessman, hawkers, traders and mazdoors.
"The Central government has totally failed to act. Rural India is dying, they don't use card. What will they do? The whole of rural India is crying, farmers are crying. If food is not available what will the common people eat? Plastic?" Banerjee said.
Commenting on Banerjee's demand, state BJP leader Jayprakash Majumder said why is she saying that old Rs 500 notes should be allowed to be in circulation.
"Why did she visit Burrabazar. Do poor people live there?", he countered.
Stating that she wanted a solution to the problem, the TMC supremo has said that the government should allow old Rs 500 notes to remain in circulation along with new notes.
Also Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 10 notes must be made easily available.
The state Congress also took out a procession in the city protesting against the 'harassment of common people' in the name of unearthing black money.
