"I am going to junglemahal tomorrow. I will go to interior areas like Belpahari and Kantapahari. Our journey for political change in West Bengal after 34 years (of Left Front rule) begun with junglemahal," Banerjee, who last week alleged that Maoists and the opposition were conspiring to kill her, told reporters here.
"Fool-proof security arrangements have been made for the visit of the chief minister," West Midnapore district police sources said.
Trinamool Congress MP Sisir Adhikary told PTI that the people in junglemahal were eagerly awaiting her visit.
"She has transformed the scenario in junglemahal with development packages and political courage," Adhikary said.
Junglemahal consisting of forested areas of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia districts, was the worst hit Maoist area during Left Front rule.
