Stating that the sub-station would help in development of the entire area, Banerjee said "I will request them to rethink on this matter. It is a project of the Centre and we assisted them because if we do not, people staying there will not get power."
"A few people have gathered arms and bombs there. I will not allow it. I will have to rescue the villagers and we will do it," Banerjee said.
"I want to bring you all in light, I never wanted to bring darkness to you... I think people must unmask those who want to bring darkness to them. And common people should realise this today or tomorrow... There may be personal grudges, but it does not mean you will not allow power to reach the place," the Chief Minister said.
