The court freed the man, a resident of Vikas Puri here, as the woman "retracted and turned hostile" and also said that she had willingly established physical relations with him.
It observed that recently a new expression is being used for a woman, who is alive and has levelled allegations of rape against a man, and she is now called as "rape survivor".
"Here, I would also like to mention that in recent times a new expression is being used for a rape victim i.E. A rape survivor. The prosecutrix, a woman or a girl who is alive, who has levelled allegations of rape by a man is now called a rape survivor.
The man was acquitted of the charges of raping the woman on the pretext of marrying her and threatening to upload her pictures and video on social networking sites to defame her.
