Soon after Wali Mohammed, son of Nasir Din of Kasba village in the district, crossed into this side from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) along LoC in Poonch, he was taken into custody by the police, officials said.
He had crossed over to the other side of the line of control in June 2012, they said.
As per preliminary questioning, he told police that he had crossed over to the other side in June 2012 where he was arrested by the Pakistani army and put behind bars, they said.
Today as he infiltrated into the Indian side, the Army apprehended him and handed him over to police, they said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain told PTI, "We have arrested the individual after he infiltrated into Indian side. He is being questioned and further information can be revealed after his questioning.
