Police inspector Nagesh Jadhav of the Dahanu police station told PTI that the duo were were drinking in the house, when a quarrel ensued between the two, as a result of which, the accused allegedly picked up a wooden plank and attacked his uncle, who died on the spot.
The police identified the victim as Rama Raghya Chowdhary (55) and the arrested person as Suresh Jetya Tare (30).
Tare has been booked under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, while the victim's body has been sent for postmortem, the police said.
