Police sub-inspector Vijay Godse of the Dahanu police station told PTI today that the lady police constable was on duty last night at the Saravali coastal checkpost along with her colleagues.
At about 9 pm, the accused Malu Balabai Bharwad, came there and enquired about one "Sunita Madam".
Later, the accused held the lady police constable by her collar and molested her, according to the lady police constable's complaint.
An offence under Section 354, Section 353 and Section 186 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused, the police official said.
