Harshada Bhaskar Ahire, the victim, had gone missing two days ago, police said.
The body was found in a deserted place in Eklahare area yesterday, Nashik Road police said.
Police today arrested Rohit Patil (22) after going through the last calls made from Ahire's mobile phone.
According to police, Rohit and Harshada were in a relationship and she was insisting that they get married while he was not willing as he wanted to complete his education.
He later took the body to a deserted spot and burnt it, police claimed.
