Jaleshwar Majhi (35), who hails from Bihar, allegedly beat his wife to death on May 30 at the couple's rented accommodation in Pochan Pur and has been on the run since.
The woman's body was found lying in a pool of blood by their house owner on June 1 when he came to collect the monthly rent, police said.
The body had multiple cut marks all over, they said, adding that Jaleshwar along with the couple's 7-month-old toddler was found missing.
Police teams began an intensive search for Jaleshwar in Delhi, Bihar and Solan in Himachal Pradesh, where his two brothers stayed.
He was nabbed yesterday from Dwarka Sector 20 when he came to collect his salary from a contractor.
On interrogation, police claimed, Jaleshwar confessed he had beaten his wife to death with a tawa after he suspected her of having physical liasons with other men.
Jaleshwar had married the woman in 2010 after he separated from his first wife five years back. He has another child from his previous marriage.
