Rajesh Sahni was yesterday arrested with the sharp-edged weapon used in the murder, Superintendent of Police, Anees Ansari said.
Sahni told police that he was in a relationship with the victim and he killed her as she was blackmailing and forcing him to divorce his wife and marry her.
Body of the woman with her throat slit was recovered on January 24. One of her fingers was also cut off.
