Revelly Swaraj was nabbed at Ghatkesar here with which police cracked eight cases of robberies and recovered 180 gram of gold ornaments and a cell phone, all worth Rs four lakh, from him, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad East, Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat said.
Swaraj, a native of Telangana's Karimnagar district and a businessman, is a frequent visitor to computer institutes at Mythrivanam and S R Nagar areas here.
In night hours, Swaraj used to take the girl students near the leading IT firms at Pocharam, Dundigal and also at Gachibowli areas.
"From there he would take them to isolated places and threaten them of committing rape if they do not hand over the gold ornaments and thus robbed the gold items from the victims and would later flee," the Commissioner explained.
