The 38-year-old accused, a resident of Govindpuri in southeast Delhi, had been allegedly sexually abusing his daughter for nearly three years and also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it, they said.
The matter came to light when the girl recently told her tuition teacher about it. The teacher informed police, after which a case was registered and the accused was arrested on Tuesday, a senior police officer said.
The accused worked as tailor, while his wife worked in a private firm, police said, adding a case was registered at Govindpuri Police Station under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act.
