On the night of June 22, nine buffaloes were stolen from the farm house of Dharmpal Singh, the BJP MLA from Aonla, they said.
Singh lodged a complaint with police, alleging that while the entire administration swung into action when a buffalo of Urban Development Minister Azam Khan was stolen, no cognisance of his report was being taken, police said.
Sirauli police yesterday arrested Akram, who during interrogation confessed to the crime, they said, adding the accused said he had sold the buffaloes to a slaughter house owner in Rampur district for Rs 1 lakh.
