A 35-year-old man was arrested with two leopard skins in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district, police said Tuesday.
Santokh Singh, a resident of Pumlaai in Kumarsain, was arrested Monday night from Rampur tehsil in the district, Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, Omapati Jamwal said.
Two leopard skins were seized from him, he said.
Jamwal said a case was registered against Singh at the Rampur police station under relevant provisions of the Wild Life (Protection) Act.
The matter is being investigated, the SP said.
