Man attempts suicide by setting himself on fire

A man suffered serious burn injuries after he allegedly attempted suicide by setting himself ablaze at India Gate here today, the police said.
The police were informed about the incident around 3.45 PM, they said, adding that the man, identified as Heera Lal, was taken to the RML Hospital for treatment.
He had suffered 80 per cent burn injuries and is unfit for statement, the police said.
A suicide note was also recovered near the place in which he had accused his neighbours of driving him to take the extreme step, they said.
