Additional District and Sessions Judge First class Arvind Kumar Singh today sentenced Anil Kumar, Joint Director Prosecution Ramesh Chandra Sharma said.
The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him, he said.
One Daanveer had lodged a complaint that his relative Anek Singh, a resident of Mangupura village, was murdered by Kumar of the same village on June 16, 2013, he said.
Later, an FIR was registered against Anil in this connection, the lawyer said.
