"On March 1 night Mohit Kumar Jha working at a cafe in Defence Colony was returning home when 18-year-old Nitin of Nehru Nagar and a juvenile snatched Mohit's phone and fled the scene," said Ishwar Singh, deputy commissioner of police (south district).
However, Mohit chased the motorcycle in a TSR and managed to catch the duo at a traffic signal near Andrews Ganj Flyover.
"After recovering his mobile phone, Mohit called the police control room," said the officer.
During interrogation, one of the accused Nitin admitted to have committed three such crimes.
"He also led the police to one of the motorcycles he stole that was recovered from Okhla Sabzi Mandi near railway track," said Singh.
