Man commits suicide after killing wife, three minor children

Upset over his financial condition, a man allegedly killed his wife and three children and later committed suicide by hanging himself at their home in Machiwara, police said today.
Zora Singh, 39, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his house after poisoning his two daughters (7 and 5 years old), a 3-year-old son and strangulating his wife Mandeep to death yesterday in Machiwara area of the district, 45 km from here, they said.
The neighbours informed the police following which the bodies were recovered from the house today and have been sent for post mortem, they said.

According to the police, Singh was working as a driver earlier but after meeting with an accident recently he was unemployed. He took the extreme step due to poverty.
Police is further investigating the matter.
