28-year-old Rajnesh Yadav, working as a compounder at a private hospital, took the girl to his house at Ujhani police station area in the evening, SSP Saumitra Yadav said.
The two had a tiff over some issue following which Yadav threw acid on the 22-year-old girl, he said.
The acid victim, who is pursuing B.A at a local college, sustained about 50 per cent burns and was rushed to Bareilly medical college hospital, SSP said.
A case was registered against Yadav and forces were deployed to nab him, the police said.
