Man creates flutter in front of secretariat

A middle-aged man, stated to be a job seeker in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, today created flutter in front of the government secretariat here by climbing on top of a tree and threatened to commit suicide if his grievance was not resolved.
The man identified as Christofer climbed on top of the tree and remained there for about three hours causing anxious moments to passers by and officials from police and fire force, who had reached there to rescue him.
Police said Christofer was one of the members of the Kerala State Transport Drivers Rank Holders Association, who were staging a dharna in front of the secretariat in support of their demand for early appointment.

However, after the authorities concered assured that his complaint would be looked into, he came down from the tree, police said.
