"A 40-plus man was crushed under the Delhi-Ambala Express when it was passing through the district today," SP Anees Ahmad Ansari said.
Irked over the incident, protestors pelted stones at the Dehrdun Express when it was passing through, injuring its driver and several passengers, Ansari said.
The engine's front glass was also broken due to the stone-pelting, he said.
The train driver, Shiv Kumar, did not stop the train there and instead took it to Devbad station where the injured were attended to, the SP said.
