Man electrocuted while changing power meter in Delhi

A 23-year-old man, employed by a BSES contractor, was allegedly electrocuted while changing an electricity meter in northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura area, police said today.
The deceased, identified as Praveen Lal, a resident of Shahdara, was an employee of a company entrusted with the task of changing electricity meters under contract by power discom BSES.
Lal had gone to Yamuna Vihar area, yesterday afternoon, to change electricity meters when he was electrocuted. Locals took him to a hospital, where he died, police said.
A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered in connection with the incident but no person has been arrested yet, they said.
