Superintendent of Police Sitapur Rajesh suspended Station Officer Sandana Jay Shankar Singh, head constable Rajesh Pandey, two personnel Mahesh Yadav and Rajkumar on charges of negligence, they said.
Rajendra allegedly hanged himself yesterday after escaping from police custody in Sandana area.
He was brought to Sandana police station last night for eloping with a girl of the same village.
A case was registered against him and the girl was sent for medical examination, police said adding that Rajendra's family members suspected it to be a case of murder.
