Man ends life at same spot where brother committed suicide

A young man suffering from cancer committed suicide at the same place, where his brother ended his life four months ago because he too was afflicted with the disease, police sources said today.
The deceased, identified only as Mahesh, killed himself by jumping into a pond here. The 24-year-old was suffering from stomach cancer and despite undergoing chemotherapy he had not recovered.
He was recently admitted in Robert Nursing Home at Tejajai Nagar for further treatment, they said.
On May 22, Mahesh left the hospital after informing his mother that he was going to a barber shop. He did not return to the hospital following which his family members filed a missing person report with the police.

On May 27, his body was found floating in a pond in Bilawali area near here. Mahesh was apparently depressed because of his ailment.
Mahesh's elder brother, Kanhaiya (27), also a cancer patient, too, had jumped in the same pond and committed suicide four months ago, the sources said.
