Man gets eight years in jail for killing minor

A local court has sentenced a man to eight years imprisonment for opening fire during a wedding ceremony that left a child dead.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Pradeep Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on the accused Shyamlal after holding him guilty under section 304 of the IPC.
The court also directed the accused to provide a compensation of Rs 20,000 to the victim's family.
11-year-old Gaurav was killed when Shyamlal opened fire at a wedding ceremony in Saheta village in Shamli district on May 23, 2010.
