Man given life imprisonment for rape

A local court has awarded life imprisonment to a 38-year-old man for raping a Dalit woman.
Additional District and sessions Judge Natya Prakash Nayak yesterday awarded life sentence to Rajesh Yadav for raping a dalit woman on July 16, 2009 in Ghunghter area, when she was alone at her house.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 11,000 on the convict.
